(IowaStormCenter.com) — Iowa Storm Center is innovating new services with the launch of a new website.
The new Iowa Storm Center.com website is live with new features that are user friendly to the end user, including a dark design for those that like dark mode. You can do this by simply clicking on the moon icon in the upper right corner of the menu bar on our website. Then to revert to the main website, you will click the sun icon in the same location.
Additionally, we are continuing to assess new algorithms of our custom models, this includes the highly skilled tornado forecast model that you will only see at Iowa Storm Center. This model has proven a reliable state with the recent May 21, 2024, tornado outbreak that unfortunately claimed multiple lives.
Ben Maurer, Owner, and Chief Executive Officer of Iowa Storm Center says, “We are always looking at ways to innovate new products and services for our client base and the general public. Our main goal is to develop tools that will save countless lives in high-impact weather events. This is the reason Iowa Storm Center was created since its inception in 2012.”
The new website comes with a goal of forecast distribution, safety, and a focus on weather news & history.
