Watching for snow chances mid week.

Good Monday afternoon! We are watching for snow chances across the state Wednesday afternoon into the evening so read on for details…

On Wednesday a low pressure system will exist off to our south across the southern plains and at the same time a piece of energy in the northern plains will work southeast. The key to this forecast is where these two pieces phase together. Right now we do think that some light snow accumulations are possible across the eastern part of the state Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday morning, less snow accumulation further west. Also worth mentioning the chance for wind gusts of 30-40 MPH Wednesday night…but need to fine tune this specific threat. Much colder temperatures follow on Thursday. Another update will be provided closer to the event, stay tuned!
