Tracking Small Mix Risk Wednesday + Clipper System to Bring Snow Potential Friday.

We are watching our next weather system that will hit the area late this week so read on for the details…

Before our late week system arrives, we will have a quick wave of light wintry mix mainly across northeast Iowa Wednesday morning. This should mostly be a rain/snow mix but wouldn’t be shocked if freezing drizzle were to mix in due to the warmer air higher up. Then all eyes are on a clipper system that will slide through the area late this week with the potential to bring accumulating snow to the area. It is typical for clipper systems to bring light to moderate snow accumulations and gusty winds but this specific one is very potent and will need to be watched closely. This system has the potential to bring heavy snow but highlighting exactly where that will be is risky at this distance. Solutions are fairly amplified with totals but where exactly does this setup is the question at the moment. Check back for additional updates at IowaStormCenter.com
