(IowaStormCenter.com) — Cold front to spark showers and strong thunderstorms Thursday evening.
A frontal system will hit Thursday evening with a renewed risk of severe weather extending from southwest through central Iowa.
The main impulse of showers and thunderstorms will develop along the frontal zone 6-8 PM capable of hail and gusty winds.
This activity will gradually drag east overnight with all activity to clear out by Friday morning.
Rainfall amounts of 0.50-1.50” will be most common from central through southeast Iowa.
