(IowaStormCenter.com) — Milder temperatures set in during the upcoming week and watching for potential wintry threats in the long range.
Video Analysis –
A ridge of high pressure will promote above average temperatures beginning the latter half of the weekend through next week with minor chances of rain/drizzle throughout the period.
Then a Gulf of Alaska ridge develops to start March before breaking down with the onset of a storm system that will work across the center of the country during the week of March 3rd.
The unknowns remain high at this range on where exactly the wintry threats are at, but the Midwest remains to be the target during this window.
Lastly, temperatures rebound during the back half of March and then watching for severe weather threats to inch closer to Iowa toward the end of the month and start of April.
