(IowaStormCenter.com) — Temperatures increase this week with spotty rain chances.
The rainy system will wrap up later today with the bulk of rain that fell across the far south/southwest portion of the state where several areas reported 1-2″ of rainfall with locally 3″ in spots. We will see a dry start to the work week with high temperatures rising back into the 70s, then upper 70s/lower 80s by late week.
Another shortwave will offer up rain chances to northwest Iowa later Monday night into Tuesday morning. Then we are watching for tropical threats in the Gulf coast that may influence additional rain chances next weekend.
