We will continue to see light snow work east this morning mainly along and south of the I-80 corridor. It is possible that snow can fall this morning north of I-80 but shouldn’t be long lasting. Our high pressure off to the north combined with extremely cold temperatures is keeping the atmosphere unsaturated this morning. We should see this saturation trend push east as the day goes on with the first wave of snow exiting the state by early this afternoon. A second shot of light snow from the main system will start to work into western Iowa by late this afternoon into early evening with snow ending across eastern Iowa around midnight tonight. An additional wave of snow will move through central and southern Iowa during the day Monday offering up another trace-2″ of snow across those areas.
