Iowa Update: Accumulating snow likely across much of Iowa tonight into Monday.

Our first storm system brought a variety of dynamics to the state Saturday and now the second system will hit later tonight with a risk for accumulating snow so read on for the details…

A low pressure system will work across the southern plains later today that will bring a risk for snow to much of the state tonight into Monday. Snow will begin to increase across southwest Iowa later tonight and gradually spread northeast into the state overnight into Monday morning. The moisture available with the system will bring a swath of light to moderate snow with the light amounts on the north side of the system. Snow should come to an end by later Monday morning as the system moves east of the state.
