The backside of the storm system from the weekend will continue to pivot scattered flurries and snow showers into eastern Iowa this afternoon through late tonight with additional spotty trace-1″ amounts. We will see some ridging by Wednesday with gusty southerly winds leading to high temperatures in the 40s and 50s statewide. Our next trough arrives later Thursday through early Friday with a risk for accumulating snow and strong winds. While it is too early to get into snowfall totals, light to moderate amounts look like a good bet at the moment.
