We will see a narrow wave of snow slide across northern Iowa today with light accumulation possible but the focus is generally on the more impactful wave Wednesday through Thursday. The current thought line is rain works into southeast Iowa overnight tonight into Wednesday with snow scraping the Iowa/Minnesota border. Finally the system will completely go underway Wednesday afternoon with a wintry mix extending from southwest through central and into northeast Iowa and snow increasing across northern Iowa. Snow accumulations will be the highest near the Minnesota border and light to moderate ice accumulations extending from southwest through central and into east/northeast Iowa.
