Snow has tapered off this morning but can’t rule out additional flurries through the day today with west/northwest winds 10-30 MPH and gusts 25-40 MPH. Temperatures will crash tonight with lows below zero across the northwest half of Iowa and single digits/teens from central and into southeast Iowa. A weak piece of energy will bring a chance of snow Friday for southwest and northern Iowa with snowfall amounts light overall. Then milder temperatures will set back in over the weekend which is ahead of our next trough that will bring a healthy round of rain to portions of the state Sunday night/Monday. Below is a look at the probability for at least 1″+ of rain.
