Good Thursday morning! This front will continue to press east this morning with time as snow is falling and strong northwesterly winds are increasing behind the front. I expect wind gusts to range 30-45 MPH during the storms stay with an additional 2-6″ of snow expected today, especially further east. This will lead to near white-out conditions especially across north central Iowa but make no mistake visibility issues will be felt across much of the state today. Snow should come to an end by later this evening with the strong wind gusts slowly subsiding into Friday morning. For details on timing refer to forecast radar graphic below. Also, we are closely monitoring a second wave of snow that can work through on Saturday.
