Our next weather system will move through later today through Tuesday with wintry mix, snow and gusty winds. Light snow/freezing rain will develop across northern Iowa later this evening. By Tuesday the main portion of the event will hit with light snow across northwest Iowa, light freezing rain in the central/northeast part of the state and light rain across extreme southeast Iowa. Precipitation will decrease by later Tuesday afternoon as the system pulls to the east of the state. In addition to the precipitation, strong northwesterly winds will gust 25-35 MPH statewide on Tuesday. Snow and ice accumulations will be fairly light. Refer to the video above for full details.
Watching for additional snow chances Thursday into Friday. Snow accumulations with this round look fairly light as well.
