Good Monday morning! Areas of fog will continue to press east this morning which will make way to sunny skies by mid morning across western Iowa. Fog should start to clear out of central Iowa toward midday but the eastern part of the state at the best bet for fog much of the day. High temperatures will be in the 30s state-wide today with a northwest wind 5-15 MPH. It is possible that a few areas of patchy dense fog can develop early Tuesday morning across western Iowa but nothing looks to be widespread. Then a storm system will work its way from the northwest US and through the mountains today through Tuesday ahead of our next accumulating snow risk. The latest thinking is snow should begin across west/northwest Iowa late Tuesday night and progress through much of Wednesday before coming to an end later Wednesday night. In terms of accumulation…thinking light to moderate snow accumulations mainly across the western half of Iowa.
