Good Wednesday Morning! We will see temperatures continue to drop through the day with snow and wind increasing across northwest Iowa by mid morning. Strong wind gusts of 35-55 MPH are expected while snow is falling leading to blizzard conditions in northwest Iowa. Total snowfall accumulations of 2-6″ expected across northwest Iowa with a trace-2″ further south across central and eastern Iowa. The system will exit to the east by later tonight but enough energy will still be available to squeeze out a few snow flurries Thursday morning across eastern Iowa before precipitation comes to an end. Highs on Christmas Eve only in the single digits and teens.
